Who we are
PathGen is an independent not-for-profit initiative and digital public good. We build outbreak intelligence software for national health ministries, reference laboratories, and public-health agencies.
Integration and custody
Pathogen genomic data is rarely connected to field surveillance. PathGen links sequences with clinical cases, climate data, and population mobility on one map, helping epidemiologists detect clusters and track variants in real time.
Raw genomes stay on national infrastructure. PathGen converts them locally into embeddings, so sequences can be compared and clustered without the genomic data leaving the country.
Governance
PathGen is governed by the PathGen Charter, which defines commitments to national data sovereignty, scientific integrity, and institutional independence.
Platform capabilities are detailed across Features, and consortium leadership is profiled under People.
